At Prelude, we are driven by the stories that shape craftsmanship, artistry, and legacy. Our latest documentary, Drummers Making Drums for Drummers, is a testament to this passion, created in collaboration with Noble & Cooley, America’s oldest drum manufacturer.
Founded in 1854, Noble & Cooley holds the distinction of being a brand deeply rooted in tradition, carrying forward a rich legacy of handcrafting drums with precision and care. Their work is more than manufacturing—it’s an art form passed down through generations, ensuring that each instrument is not just a drum but a piece of history.
We had the privilege of telling their story, diving deep into the meticulous skill involved in crafting a handmade drum. From the selection of raw materials to the shaping, steaming, and tuning, every step in their process reflects a commitment to excellence that has stood the test of time.
This documentary was crafted with the same attention to detail and dedication that Noble & Cooley pours into every drum they make. From the initial idea to final execution, including a bespoke soundtrack, we were inspired by their artistry and heritage to create something truly unique.
For drummers, by drummers—this is more than a documentary. It’s a celebration of craftsmanship, music, and the enduring spirit of Noble & Cooley.
Join us in experiencing the artistry behind one of the most respected names in drum making.
